  • Appliance Recycling Program

    Residential customers can receive a $50 rebate, along with free pick-up, when they turn-in older refrigerators and freezers. The old appliance will be recycled in an environmentally responsible manner which meets the Environmental Protection Agency’s criteria. Eligible units must be fully operational and satisfy certain age and size requirements. LADWP’s contractor, Appliance Recycling Centers of America (ARCA), will work with the customer in scheduling an appointment to pick up the old appliance.

  • Summer Shift Energy Saving Program

    Summer Shift is a new energy saving program that aims to reduce the risk of outages this summer resulting from the limited availability of natural gas from the Aliso Canyon Natural Gas Storage Facility. Offered from July through September 2016 for large commercial and industrial customers, SummerShift will provide an incentive of $10.00 per kilowatt (kW) for shifting your energy use away from high demand, peak periods to off-peak periods.

    Commercial Lighting Incentive Program (CLIP)

    CLIP offers incentives to help make a wide variety of high-performance lamps and lighting fixtures cost-effective, and targets any size business that still utilizes standard fixtures. CLIP is designed to be consistent with California’s statewide lighting programs, leveraging established contractor networks to offer non-residential customers a full suite of lighting products and services to improve the energy efficiency in their businesses by upgrading/retrofitting core lighting systems. CLIP’s calculated savings approach allows customers to tailor lighting efficiency upgrades to better meet their lighting needs and attain greater energy savings.

  • Custom Performance Program (CPP)

    CPP offers incentives for energy saving measures not covered by other LADWP non-residential energy efficiency programs. These involve more advanced, high efficiency technologies and innovative energy saving strategies that exceed code, or minimum industry standards. Examples include equipment controls, industrial processes, high efficiency HVAC and chillers, hotel guest room controls, variable frequency drives, and other high efficiency technologies.

    New Construction / Savings By Design

    LADWP and Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas®) are working together to offer incentives designed to benefit owners and developers of new commercial building via the statewide Savings By Design (SBD) program. LADWP's New Construction Program will offer incentives for projects which do not meet the SBD requirements, but exceed Title 24 requirements by 10% or greater and are past the design phase.

  • Refrigerator Exchange Program (REP)

    REP provides new energy-saving ENERGY STAR® rated refrigerators in exchange for qualified older model refrigerators for free. This program is available to all income qualified customers, as well as multi-family and non-profit customers. To participate, customers may contact the Appliance Recycling Centers of America (ARCA) who will work with the customer in scheduling a site inspection. Once the property passes the site inspection, the customer is scheduled for the delivery of the new refrigerator.

    Consumer Rebate Program (CRP)

    The Consumer Rebate Program offers incentives of up to $500 or more, to its residential customers to promote and advance comprehensive energy efficiency measures, including whole house solutions, plug load efficiency, performance standards and opportunities for integration. CRP is designed to offer and promote specific and comprehensive energy solutions within the residential market sector.

  • Solar Incentive Program (SIP)

    This program offers incentives to both residential and non-residential customers who lease or purchase solar systems for installation on their property. The current incentive level for the residential SIP is $0.40/watt and $0.70/watt for the non-residential SIP. In addition, the program allows higher incentives for non-profit agencies as well as educational institutions. The resulting incentive is calculated based upon the estimated annual production of the installed system.

    Feed-in Tariff (FiT) Program

    Through the FiT Program, LADWP will purchase energy generated from a participant's solar power system for a fixed price under a standard power purchase contract. These systems must be located within the LADWP's service territory and be interconnected to the LADWP electrical distribution system. FiT can help building and/or business owners offset their energy costs by producing and selling solar power to the grid.

  • Charge Up L.A.! ‒ Home Work & On the Go EV Charger Rebate Program

    Charge Up L.A.! provides rebates to offset your out-of-pocket costs for the purchase of a qualifying electric vehicle (EV) charger to encourage the installation of a qualifying EV charger at residential and commercial locations. This program benefits the environment and helps EV drivers save fuel costs at the same time. The rebate is offered to residential customers who purchase or lease a qualifying EV and install a Level 2 charger at their home. It is also available to commercial customers who seek to install EV chargers for their employees and/or customers.

    Water Technical Assistance Program (TAP)

    LADWP’s TAP offers incentives to assist customers in implementing custom water conservation projects. TAP incentives are available to commercial, industrial, institutional, and multi-family customers installing pre-approved water conservation measures including equipment, devices, products, fixtures, and technologies of a permanent nature. The financial incentive is calculated at the rate of $1.75 per 1,000 gallons of water saved over a period of two years (minimum of 150,000 gallon savings required). Proposed projects are first evaluated to ascertain feasibility, cost, and savings. Incentives are paid after project installation and verified operation.

  • SoCal Watersmart Commercial Rebate Incentive Program

    This program is a partnership with the Metropolitan Water District to offer rebates for business customers who purchase and install water conservation equipment such as high-efficiency toilets and urinals, weather-based irrigation controllers, cooling tower conductivity controllers, and other measures.

    Commercial California Friendly Landscape Incentive Program

    Commercial customers can receive rebates for turf removal and replacement with California Friendly® landscaping, mulch, and permeable pathways or artificial turf. Customers can receive $1 per square foot of turf removed for the first 10,000 sq. ft and $0.50 per square foot thereafter.
